Sydney Storms

The summer storms here are quite a sight, with amazing colors and cloud formations. The clouds can roll through in a matter of minutes, and tonight’s storm seemed to come out of nowhere. As we wrapped up CZ’s bath and bedtime, EZ came across some cool #sydneystorm Instagram photos and videos of the intense lighting over the city. Fortunately the storm was still raging in the horizon and we gave into the Insta-inspiration. However, we got 2 shots with lightning out of 50, and we are both amazed that there are any lightning photos from the pre-digital age. It was an enjoyable way to spend our bit of time together while CZ sleeps, and our editing session was a wonderful reminder of the nights when we were slowly becoming best friends huddled around a computer figuring out white balance and contrast.
